Great Question, so great we've already done a blog post on it! Go to the search bar and search 'Fresher House Hunting 101' to find it
However here's some basic facts to help you on your way
Your first step is to choose who you want to live with
- You can live by yourself or with friends
Second step is to know your budget
- Know how much you are willing to pay per week/month so that you can filter your search by price - if you've chosen to live with friends you'll need to consider their budget also.
The third step is to find a house
- Your university will probably have an accommodation office that will offer advice and
support when it comes to searching in your area so try here first
- If not do a google search for student letting agencies for your area on google and this
should bring up letting agencies that you can get in contact with - When doing this check
to see if the website has reviews just to check to make sure they're the right company for
you
Third Step
- Make a booking for houses that you like and go to view them
- You can then choose your favourite one and make a deposit. As soon as your deposit is
down you have secured your house and have a home for the next academic year!
